Nieuws Uit De Ruimtevaart – Week 2019/30–450_Deel_2

In het tweede deel van NUDR 450 is het duidelijk dat de afgelopen drie weken er meer dan genoeg gebeurd is. The Planetary Society ontplooide zijn zonnezeil met succes, maar het Europese Galileo-systeem maakte geen goede beurt toen het systeem enkele dagen niet beschikbaar was.

Tiangong-2 is niet meer. Het maakte een geplande terugkeer in de dampkring. Na wat nieuwtjes over het ruimtestation en het Commercial Crew programma krijg je een uitgebreid deel over het zusje van Apollo. Verrassend was vooral het ontslag van de top van het bemande ruimtevaartprogramma van de NASA. Wat de SLS betreft, er gaan geruchten dat de lancering  eerst in 2021 (of zelfs tegen eind 2021) zou plaatshebben. Bij het Amerikaanse ruimtevaartagentschap besloot men in elk geval om door te gaan met de Green Run, een belangrijke test voor de raket. En men doet verde rmet het uitdelen van contracten. Na het Power and Propulsion Element was het nu de beurt aan de Habitat-module van de Gateway.

Wat de (inter)planetaire ruimtevaart betreft, in Deel 1 kwam uitgebreid het Indische maanproject aan bod. In dit deel is er onder andere nieuws over Hayabusa 2 en over de vier Marssondes die volgend jaar richting Rode Planeet gelanceerd gaan worden.

Ook met dit deel veel lees- en kijkplezier bij deze “warme” temperaturen.

Bij de foto: NASA koos na een naam ook voor een logo. Nu nog hopen dat ook de politiek voor het programma wil kiezen.
