Nieuws Uit De Ruimtevaart – Week 2021/01–528

De eerste “Nieuws Uit De Ruimtevaart” van het nieuwe jaar laat zijn licht al schijnen op enkele van de vermoedelijke hoogtepunten van dit jaar (of toch al zeker van de volgende weken en maanden). SpaceX zorgde alvast voor de eerste lancering van 2021, maar iedereen kijkt ongetwijfeld alweer uit naar Starship SN9 voor een herhaling van de SN8-vlucht, maar dan met zachte landing. Uitkijken wordt het sowieso naar het eerste prototype van de Super Heavy. Voor het Space Launch System moet 2021 alvast het jaar van de waarheid worden. Met een static fire van de Core Stage begin dit jaar en een eerste (onbemande) lancering op het einde van 2021.  Rond die tijd zou ook die andere langverwachte lancering moeten gebeuren, meer bepaald die van de James Webb Space Telecope. O ja, februari wordt alvast een Marsmaand, met de aankomst van Al Amal, Tianwen-1 en Perseverance. Dat en nog veel meer in de NUDR van deze week.
