Liefst zeven lanceringen deze week. Wie dus graag raketten ziet vertrekken, komt met deze “Nieuws Uit De Ruimtevaart” aan zijn trekken.  En een recent rapport voorspelt de volgende tien jaar een 300 satellieten die jaarlijks gelanceerd moeten worden. 

Stratollite rondde zijn testvlucht af. Er is weer minder goed nieuws voor het Space Launch System (is een nieuwe lanceertoren noodzakelijk ?) en hoe zit het met de planning voor de SpaceShipTwo-testen, het toestel van Virgin Galactic.

Andere nieuwtjes zijn er over een nieuwe succesvolle ruimtewandeling voor de ISS-astronauten, Apollo 11 op ronde door Amerika, een nationaal ruimtevaartagentschap voor Australië (heeft er iemand nog iets gehoord van het Belgische ruimtevaartagentschap ?), en heel wat nieuwtjes over allerlei satellietconstellaties en cubesats.
