Met de bekendmaking van de eerste astronauten voor het Commercial Crew programma zet de NASA een nieuwe stap om opnieuw Amerikanen te lanceren vanuit Amerika. Nu zijn het nog steeds de Russen die met de Soyuz-capsule Amerikaanse astronauten naar het ISS sturen. Maar eerst moeten Boeing en SpaceX nog een onbemande testvlucht maken met hun respectievelijke capsules. 

Ook voor RocketLab lijkt het goed te gaan. Er worden steeds meer en meer contracten afgesloten. Hier beneden mag het dan “business time” zijn, de eerste operationele lancering is ondertussen uitgesteld tot in november.

Nog eentje voor de jaarwisseling, de passage van Ultima Thule  door New Horizons. Een recente sterbedekking moet meer informatie opleveren over dit objectje in de Kuiper Gordel.

Het worden nog heel interessante ruimtevaartmaanden . . .
