Nieuws Uit De Ruimtevaart – Week 2019/09–431

Exact vijftig jaar geleden werd Apollo 9 gelanceerd, de derde bemande vlucht in het Apollo-programma, de eerste bemande test van de Lunar Module. De lancering werd enkele dagen uitgesteld wegens ziekte van de bemanning. Mijn griepje is dus goed getimed. En terwijl deze NUDR werd afgewerkt, was de Crew Dragon op weg te koppelen met het ruimtestation (meer over de koppeling dus in volgende NUDR). Het toestel is bij deze vlucht onbemand, maar daarom is deze test niet minder belangrijk.

Nog een ander belangrijk moment eerder deze week was de lancering van de eerste zes OneWeb satellieten, de eerste van een constellatie van honderden exemplaren die iedereen waar ook op de wereld van internet moet voorzien. Nog twee jaar en al de satellieten moeten gelanceerd zijn.
