Nieuws Uit De Ruimtevaart – Week 2019/45–465

Zowel SpaceX als Boeing zitten in de laatste rechte lijn om een eerste bemande vlucht te maken met hun nieuwe capsule, respectievelijk Crew Dragon en Starliner. Dat zal voor beide (wellicht) eerst in 2020 gebeuren. In afwachting daarvan gaat de NASA het even rustiger aan doen. De drie ruimtevaarders die in april volgend jaar gelanceerd gaan worden, zullen het ruimtestation voor hun alleen hebben. Voor een eerste (onbemande) lancering van die andere Amerikaanse capsule, Orion, zal het nog wat langer wachten zijn. De belangrijkste gebeurtenis zal ongetwijfeld volgend jaar de “Green Run” zijn, zijnde een test van de volledige Core Stage van het Space Launch System.
