Nieuws Uit De Ruimtevaart – Week 2020/29–502

Beginnen doen we met de veelbelovende beelden afkomstig van ESA’s Solar Orbiter. Het echte waarnemingswerk moet nog beginnen maar de eerste testopnames lieten al meteen een ontdekking toe: “Kampvuurtjes” op de zon. En – als alles goed gaat – vertrekt vannacht de eerste van drie sondes (“Hope” van de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten) naar de Rode Planeet. Later deze week (wellicht op donderdag) vertrekt de volgende, de Chinese Tianwen-1. Het is dan wachten tot de 30ste juli om ook NASA’s Perseverance-rover te zien vertrekken. Datzelfde NASA liet ook weten dat Bob en Doug wellicht op 2 augustus met hun Crew Dragon terug naar huis komen. Kortom,  er komen nog heel wat leuke en spannende ruimtevaartdagen.
