Nieuws Uit De Ruimtevaart – Week 2020/45–518

Geen echte uitschieters deze week. Alleen hoog gespannen verwachtingen voor wat komen gaat. Dat is ten eerste de volgende bemande vlucht van Crew Dragon. Met een bemanning die zich klaarmaakt voor de lancering, maar vooral een Falcon 9 die deze week moest laten zien dat de probleempjes met de motoren achter de rug lagen. Crew 1 wordt normaal gezien gelanceerd in de nacht van 14 op 15 november.  

Maar er wordt misschien nog meer uitgekeken naar Starship SN8. Begin augustus dit jaar scoorde SpaceX ook een dubbel. Toen kwam de bemanning van Crew Dragon Demo 2 veilig naar de Aarde terug en deed Starship SN5 een 150 meter hop. Iedereen verwacht deze of volgende week de vlucht van Starship SN8 naar 15 km hoogte. Met – mocht dat lukken – een zachte landing op de basis in Boca Chica.
