Het venijn zit ‘em in de staart, naar het schijnt. Zopas liet het Witte Huis weten dat men Jared Isaacman niet langer meer voordraagt als nieuwe NASA Administrator. Verrassend, want de man zou – na een hele procedure te hebben doorlopen – normaal gezien deze week als dusdanig benoemd worden. Verder zijn nu ook de details bekend van het Amerikaanse budget voor FY2026. Het eerder al vermelde slechte nieuws voor NASA’s wetenschappelijke missies wordt bij deze alleen maar bevestigd. Al het andere ruimtevaartnieuws wordt alzo wat opzij geduwd. Nochtans lanceerde China een planetoïde-sonde, werd Starship een 9de keer gelanceerd en zijn we weer 6 ruimtetoeristen rijker. Bij de foto: Een Chinese Lange Mars raket brengt Tianwen 2 de ruimte in. De sonde gaat in de zomer van 2026 planetoïde Kamoʻoalewa opzoeken. Na een verblijf van iets meer dan een jaar keert de sonde in 2027 terug naar de Aarde, mét een bodemmonster.
