Prof. Dr. Ulisse Munari

Ulisse Munari is Professor at the National Institute of Astrophysics, and Astronomer at the Padua and Asiago Observatories. He led the ESA team that designed the spectroscopy of Gaia, and member of the RAVE and GALAH spectroscopic surveys of the southern sky which aim to reconstruct the formation history and current structure of our Milky Way. He is active on interacting binaries (novae and symbiotic stars in particoular), young stellar objects, and internal dynamics of open clusters. He is the leading figure behind ANS Collaboration, one of the most advanced pro-am ventures.
